Course Overview

  • In line with the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals, Singapore Tourism Board and SACEOS have set out clear targets and strategies to raise sustainability standards across Singapore's MICE industry. Sustainability is not only the right thing to do for the environment, but it also makes good business sense. By integrating sustainable practices, MICE planners can reduce their carbon footprint and demonstrate a commitment to social and environmental responsibility. Moreover, incorporating sustainability into events can improve the overall experience for attendees, increase stakeholder engagement, enhance brand reputation, potentially attracting new customers and partners who are seeking eco-friendly options and even result in cost savings.

  • The one-day workshop is designed for C-Suite MICE professionals from public and private organisations, and suppliers including hotels, venues, and destinations to drive practical sustainability initiatives successfully across their organisations. It will provide a combination of theory, tools, and practical knowledge, to equip event professionals with the competencies and confidence in planning, managing, and reporting on sustainability. Participants will gain insights on how and where to start, given tools to measure the environmental and social impacts of events, and understand the business case and opportunities for leaving positive event legacy. The workshop will also explore how sustainability can improve the bottom line by reducing costs and improving stakeholder engagement. The workshop will also provide a platform for attendees to network with like-minded professionals, exchange ideas, and share best practices. Join us for a day of learning, sharing, and inspiration as we work together to build a greener, more sustainable future for Singapore’s meeting industry.
