Course Overview
Energy Management Systems offer a systemic approach to monitor and reduce the energy consumption in all kinds of organizations. ISO 50001 is the standard released by International Organization for Standardization for Energy Management Systems. It is based on Plan-Do-Check- Act cycle, with requirements for establishing an energy policy with concrete objectives, putting in place actions to reduce and monitor energy use, verifying energy savings and planning improvements. It offers a comprehensive set of guidelines to achieve energy efficiency and energy saving which help in meeting carbon emissions reduction requirements. It can be easily integrated to existing Quality, Safety and/or Environment Management Systems.
