Course Overview
This unit of competency specifies the knowledge, skills and attitudes required of a Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer to present the content and activities aligned to the WSQ SDWSH Manage Internal WSH Management System Audit module.
Course Objectives
Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes required of a WSH internal auditor;
- Develop, conduct and report findings for an internal audit of a WSH Management System that conforms to the organisational requirements.
Pre-requisites
You are required to fulfill any of the following tracks to be eligible for the course.
Track 1:
- Recognised Technology/ Science-related Diploma/ Engineering Degree
And
- At least 2 years of WSH relevant working experience
Track 2:
- Possess Employability Skills Workplace Literacy Level 6 or GCE O Level English Grade C6
- GCE O Level Math & Science Grade C6, or bridging course
- Possess GCE ‘O’ Level Science (Physics) grade C6, or Certification of Performance Physics bridging course
- Possess WSH Skills and knowledge equivalent to that of Advanced Certificate in WSH
- Have at least 2 years of post-WSH qualification working experience as WSH Supervisor, WSH Coordinator or similar occupation role
Track 3:
- Possess Employability Skills Workplace Literacy Level 6 or GCE O Level English Grade C6
- GCE O Level Math & Science Grade C6, or bridging course
- Possess GCE ‘O’ Level Science (Physics) grade C6, or Certification of Performance Physics bridging course
- Possess WSH Skills and knowledge equivalent to that of Advanced Certificate in WSH
- Have at least 5 years of WSH-related working experience, in which 2 years should be recent working experience such as WSH Supervisor/Coordinator
Note: All Modules will be assessed according to full qualification. You may also be required to undergo a pre-qualifying test. Applications without ALL the above required supporting documents will be considered incomplete and rejected.
