Course Overview
Power BI’s powerful collection of functions and features will help you to analyse your organisation’s data, uncover insights and trends. With this course, you will learn how to model data and create visual reports that reveal data insights. Although the Power BI desktop client will be the primary focus, an introduction to the Power BI web app will also be provided.
Course Objectives
- Perform data analysis in Power BI
- Identify data types and explain how they are interpreted as visualisations
- Design and create visualisations, based on user-centred workflows, for others to use
- Discuss concepts of data visualisation and how they are implemented in Power BI
- Identify best practices for Power BI visualisation design
- Share insights with Power BI
Pre-requisites
The admission requirements are:
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of relational databases
- Extensive knowledge on the use Microsoft Excel’s worksheets features and functions such as formulas, charts, filtering, sorting, and sub-total etc.
- Read, write, and speak English at WPL Level 4
- Manipulate numbers at WPN Level 4
- Hardware & Software
- This course will be conducted as a Virtual Live Class (VLC) via Zoom platform
- Participants must own a Zoom account and have a laptop or a desktop with “Zoom Client for Meetings” installed. Download from zoom.us/download.
