Course Overview

 

At the end of the lesson will enable participants to:

  • Implement organisational inventory control procedures and systems for receipt, verification and dispatch of inventory received from suppliers.
  • Establish cost-effective and efficient inventory movement methods to minimise the inventory movement costs.
  • Monitor Stock Keeping Units (SKU) to maintain the budgetary planning requirements.
  • Investigate and document missing or damaged inventory in accordance with organisational inventory control procedure.
  • Take security actions and measures on obsolete, redundant, soiled, and damaged inventory.

 

Course Objectives

 

This course is aimed for the Procurement Manager/ Sourcing Manager/ Operation Manager who is tasked with managing the organisation’s procurement strategies and leveraging strong relationships with the supplier network to ensure alignment with organisation’s objectives.

 

He/She is also involved in negotiating with suppliers and managing operational procurement activities to manage product demands. from wholesale trade who collaborates with internal stakeholders on a working – level to adopt at problem-solving, organisational, and project management, he is capable of handling multiple local and regional projects simultaneously and executing them to completion.

 

In addition, he/she is an independent worker and effective team player who is able to motivate and drive the performance of his team members.

 

To be able to analyse inventory levels of products in organisation to identify future inventory needs in the organisation.

 

Pre-requisites

 

Track 1

Able to speak, listen, write, and read English with Numeracy skills at a minimum proficiency level of the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification i.e., Workplace Literacy and Numeracy Level (WPLN) 6 or above.

Or  “O” Level English  – Grade B

Track 2

Able to speak, listen, write, and read English with Numeracy skills at a minimum proficiency level of the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification i.e., Workplace Literacy and Numeracy Level (WPLN) 5 or above.

Or

“N” Level English – Grade B

 

Certificate Obtained and Conferred by

 

Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) will be issued for each module graded competent.
