At the end of the course, you will be able to:

Pre-requisites

 

You must successfully complete the Shipyard Safety Instruction Course (General Trade) or (Painter Trade) course.

  • Types of hot-work
  • Characteristics of flammable substances
  • Causes of fires and explosions
  • Case studies on shipyard fire and explosion accidents
  • Safety measures for preventing fires and explosions
  • Permit-to-Work systems

 

Certificate Obtained and Conferred by

 

Upon completion of the course, a safety pass which is valid for a period of 5 years will be issued to you. Shipyard Safety Instruction Course (SSIC) Hot-work safety pass will be invalid if the SSIC General Trade safety pass is invalid or has expired.
