This is a two days course which introduces the students to maximizing the product value using Scrum. The workshop is designed to help them appreciate product discovery using Scrum. CSPOs decide what the team will create, ordering the work to ensure that the most valuable, impactful products reach customers at a regular cadence. This course will also prepare a learner to take the Certified Scrum Product Owner certification from the Scrum Alliance which is widely recognized throughout the world. This course is designed to help the product owners to learn how to maximize the value of the product.
Course Objectives
Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand Agile, its values, principles and various frameworks.
- Understand how Agile helps to have Empirical process which in turn helps build customer centric products.
- Understand about various contexts under which products are built.
- Understand about different product contexts and Lean Startup for building products.
- Understand about product management.
- Understand core competencies about Product Owner.
- Understand how to envision a product and create a backlog.
- Understand how to form the hypothesis to test your assumptions.
- Understand how to validate the hypothesis with users to build a customer centric product.
- Understand the stakeholder management for better Return on Investment for the products built by the organizations.
- Understand how to create product roadmap and manage product development using Scrum.

Course Outline
Pre-Course:
We want the students to make the most of the time they spend with our trainers and other students. Students will need to go through prepared learning materials on our Canvas Learning Management System to prepare for the workshop. By reading the online learning materials, participants will be able to:

Course:
The course is designed to help you learn about building products while using Scrum. The focus would be on how a Product Owner discovers what to build and collaborate with development teams to build it. The whole course is split into 4 sprints focusing on the following topics:

Certificate Obtained and Conferred by

Upon meeting 100% attendance and passing the assessment(s), participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from NTUC LearningHub.
- External Certification
After completing this course with 100% attendance and upon passing the class assessment, candidates will receive a welcome email from Scrum Alliance® within 2 weeks from the date of course completion. The email will prompt you to accept the license agreement for your CSPO certification. After accepting the agreement, you will be able to download and print copies of your CSPO certification. The certification is governed and maintained by Scrum Alliance.
