This course will address the needs of frontline supervisors and managers in supporting change. They will learn about the key drivers of change affecting organisations and how they can support the implementation of change programmes and initiatives. They will look at identifying and improving work processes within their own scope of work. They will also learn about supporting the monitoring of change and giving feedback so that the change is effective in achieving the objectives.
At the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Identify opportunities to improve own work processes based on internal and external factors driving change in the organisation
- Support implementation of change through various playing roles such as working with relevant stakeholders and proactively participating in change programmes
- Help monitor the behavioural impact of change and exercise discretion in providing feedback to improve the effectiveness of change programmes
Pre-requisites
- Participants should be able to speak, listen and read English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 3

Course Outline
Unit 1: Getting ready for change
- Know the internal and external environment that can lead to change in the organisation
- Know the relevant stakeholders in the change process
- Know the current organisational practices with regard to change
Unit 2: Supporting implementation of change
- Know the roles in change management programmes and initiatives
- Know the importance of pro-active involvement by participation in change management programmes
- Know the behavioural impact of change process
- Know the types of changes to work practices within own scope of work
- Identify opportunities for change to improve work processes
- Support the implementation of change in the organisation
Unit 3: Monitoring of change effectiveness
- Know the scope of individual discretion and freedom to feedback with regard to change
- Know the ways in which improvements and changes can be suggested
- Support the monitoring of effectiveness of change management programmes and initiatives
Certificate Obtained and Conferred by
Participants who have successfully demonstrated competence in all the knowledge and skills requirements in this programme will be awarded with a Statement of Attainment (SOA) by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). This programme is offered on a modular basis only.
